Get creative with conservation this Golden Bamboo Wind Chime Workshop hosted by the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust! In this hands-on event, we’ll turn a troublesome invasive—Golden Bamboo—into beautiful, handcrafted wind chimes you can take home.

Golden Bamboo may threaten native ecosystems, but with a little creativity and elbow grease, it can be repurposed into something useful and artful. Guided by HCLT staff, participants will use power tools and sharp hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble their own unique wind chimes from harvested bamboo.

Important Workshop Details:

  • This is an active, hands-on workshop. Participants will need to have the ability to bend, kneel, sit on the ground, and use power and hand tools.

  • Tools and materials will be provided.
  • Open to ages 16+ (or younger with adult supervision and comfort using tools).
